About Academy

A call for proposals has begun for side events to be held as part of the World Science Forum (WSF), organized under the auspices of the Turkish Presidency, hosted by the Turkish Academy of Sciences (TÜBA), and in collaboration with the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (MTA). Scientific organizations can contribute to WSF2027 by proposing side events that explore the role of science in addressing global crises and strengthen dialogue among different disciplines and communities. The deadline for submitting proposals is October 12, 2026. Detailed information about the call for proposals is available at https://worldscienceforum.org.

TÜBA, the International Turkic Academy (Turkic Academy), the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), 77 young researchers from 11 countries participated in the five-day 8th Traditional Summer School of Turkic States, which focused on the themes of “Turkology, Art, and History of Civilization” and “Artificial Intelligence and Energy.” The summer school was opened by TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, Vice President of the Turkish Academy Prof. Dr. Bülent Bayram, and Selçuk University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zeki Bayramoğlu.

TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker has been elected a Foreign Member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, which operates under the Presidency of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

TÜBA-Outstanding Young Scientist (TÜBA-GEBİP) Awardee and Professor at the Department of Oral Pathology, Faculty of Dentistry, Ankara University, Prof. Dr. Merva Soluk Tekkeşin, has been elected president of the International Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathologists (IAOP) for the 2028–2030 term.
