About Academy

In collaboration with TÜBA, the International Turkish Academy, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), and the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), the 8th Traditional Summer School, which will bring together young researchers, academics, and experts from various countries of the Turkic world, will be held in Konya, hosted by Selçuk University, from August 23–30, 2026. Applications for the Summer School can be submitted via https://summerschool.tuba.gov.tr  until June 23, 2026.

TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker attended the “Policy Dialogue on the Freedom and Safety of Scientists” meeting organized by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) in Paris, the capital of France. The meeting, held at UNESCO Headquarters, was also attended by TÜBA Full Member Prof. Dr. İlkay Erdoğan Orhan, a member of the All European Academies (ALLEA) Working Group on the Integration of Research Safety and Academic Freedom.

Published by TÜBA, “Italian Ambassadorial Reports (1512–1789)”—compiled by Prof. Dr. Maria Pia Pedani and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Güner Doğan and translated from Italian into Turkish by Dr. Volkan Dökmeci—has been introduced to the academic world as a source of great importance for research on Ottoman history. The linguistic editing of the work was undertaken by Prof. Dr. Nevin Özkan, a faculty member of the Department of Italian Language and Literature at Ankara University.

TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker attended the meeting titled “Scientific Cooperation Among Academies of Sciences in the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Region and Artificial Intelligence as a Catalyst for Reforms,” held in Sofia, the capital of Bulgaria. The declaration issued at the conclusion of the meeting was shared with the public.

Due to high demand, the nomination period for the 2026 TÜBA International Academy Awards has been extended until June 5, 2026.
