TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker spoke at the “The Turkic World and International Scientific Cooperation” panel, held as part of the 100th Anniversary Summit of the First Congress of Turkology, organized in Baku by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker visited Fahri Hiyaban, the site of the memorial tomb of Azerbaijan’s National Leader Heydar Aliyev, as part of the Turkic World Week events organized in Azerbaijan to mark the 100th anniversary of the First Congress of Turkology.
The Academy’s 63rd General Assembly and General Assembly Conference were held with the participation of TÜBA members, university rectors, and heads of institutions.
Prof. Dr. Jeffrey David Sachs, an Honorary Member of TÜBA, recipient of the 2021 TÜBA International Academy Award, and Professor at Columbia University, was awarded an honorary doctorate by Boğaziçi University. Prof. Dr. Sachs was presented with his honorary doctorate diploma by Rector Prof. Dr. Naci İnci during a ceremony held at Albert Long Hall on Boğaziçi University’s South Campus.
TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker visited Giuseppe Manzo, the Italian Ambassador to Ankara, at his office. During the meeting, they discussed ways to further develop scientific, academic, and cultural cooperation between Türkiye and Italy.
