“EMBO YIP Award” to TÜBA-GEBİP Award Owner Dr. E. Nur Fırat Karalar
TÜBA-GEBİP member and Koç University Faculty Member Elif Nur Fırat Karalar became the first Turkish scientist to be selected for the Young Investigators Program of the European Molecular Biology Organization (EMBO).
Since 2000, 400 scientists have been selected for the EMBO Young Researchers Program, which promises a promising future in the field of life sciences, with outstanding quality and international studies. Dr. Elif Nur Fırat Karalar was selected one of the 27 young life scientists selected for this program with her works on the formation and functions of cell structures that play an important role in cell division and communication.
Dr. Elif Nur Fırat Karalar will join the Young Investigator Network of 129 people through the EMBO Young Researchers Program. She will start her four-year term in January 2020. She and her team will receive financial and practical support from the European Organization for Molecular Biology. Dr. Elif Nur Fırat Karalar will also have the right to benefit from the network
