TÜBA Principle Member Prof. Dr. Emin Kansu Was Elected As The President of the International Society of Hematology
TÜBA Principle Member, Hacettepe University Cancer Institute Teaching Staff Member and Head of the Stem Cell Department Prof. Dr. Emin Kansu was elected to be the President of the International Society of Hematology (ISH).
Prof Dr. Kansu, who had previously been the Europe and Africa Section Vice President of the International Society of Hematology, took over the president position after being voted in at the 35th International World Hematology Convention held in the capital of China, Bejing.
Prof. Dr. Emin Kansu has won the TÜBİTAK Incentive Award in 1979, the Sedat Simavi Health Sciences Award in 1985, the Eczacıbaşı Science Award in 1987 and the TÜBİTAK Science Award in 1997. He became a member of TÜBA in 1995.
Prof. Dr. Emin Kansu specializes particularly in the subjects of hematological malignancies, hematopoietic stem cell biology, stem cell transplantation and graft-versus-host disease.
