TÜBA Principal Member Prof. Şahin was selected again as “Science Diplomat” to ECPVS
TÜBA Principal Member, TÜBA Food and Nutrition Working Group Leader and Fırat University Veterinary Faculty Department of Animal Science and Animal Nutrition Faculty Prof. Kazim Sahin was again selected as "Science Diplomat" by the European College of Poultry Veterinary Science (ECPVS).
As a result of the ECPVS Committee's evaluation, Prof. Sahin has been re-elected as "ECPVS Diplomat" by ECPVS until 23 September 2021 who has been working as a diplomat since 2011.
As and ECPVS Diplomat, Prof. Şahin will contribute to the studies of Academy. He also said: “He earned the right to become a science diplomat to ECPVS that aims to improve the quality of the Poultry Veterinary Science in 2011. My Diplomacy was accredited on 24 September this year, a second time for a five year period until 23 September 2021. It is our basic duty to establish the standards for post-university veterinarians in Europe for training in poultry. Also, it is our priority to contribute to the growing of authoritarian veterinarians and scientific studies about the issues on the welfare and health of animals in poultry science and production of quality meat. ECPVS is not a commercial or profit organization. We are working to train poultry scientists in poultry production and control systems, prevention of poultry products, prevention of diseases and disease control. The ECPVS Winged Congress is held every year. Our society continues to have scientific work that is necessary for the production of quality poultry meat.” Prof. Sahin also underlined that much more work on the subject in Turkey should be done.
