The 'Clinical Legal Studies Workshop' at the TÜBA-Rabi Medrese
TÜBA has organized a ‘Clinical Legal Studies Workshop’ at the Rabi Medrese under the chairmanship of one of the most important names in legal clinics, Prof. Dr. David McQuoid-Mason, Faculty Member of KwaZulu-Natal University of South Africa.
The workshop sponsored by the Sweden based Raoul Wallenberg Institute and hosted by TÜBA on September 24-25, was conducted using an interactive teaching approach to introduce this approach, which is used in many places throughout the world, to young teaching staff and research assistants in the İstanbul University Law Faculty and to teach them how a legal clinic program should be organized. The Istanbul University, which started legal clinics in the field of Refugee Law, aims to become the best in Turkey on the subject of legal clinics which they plan to focus on starting in the 2014 fall term.
