TEKNOFEST Has Ended
TÜBA is among the participants; Turkey's largest Aviation, Space and Technology Festival, TEKNOFEST, which is followed by millions of people, performed with the Black Sea Region this year.
The festival, which continued for six days in Samsun, brought technology enthusiasts together at Çarşamba Airport; technology, science, aviation-flight demonstrations, exhibitions, workshops, stage shows and concerts were held. With the vision of the National Technology Initiatives, TEKNOFEST, which has been organized for five years for a technology-developing Turkey and gained an international dimension in its fifth year, is organized by the Turkish Technology Team Foundation and the Ministry of Industry and Technology, where ministries, presidencies, public and private sector organizations, academicians, which play a critical role in the national technology ecosystem. It was held with 101 institutions, including media companies. TÜBA showed its programs and projects and introduced its publications at the stand during the festival. More than 1 million people visited TEKNOFEST BLACK SEA, where 600 thousand young people from 154 thousand teams from 81 provinces and 107 different countries competed in 40 different branches.
TÜBA - TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Awards were given by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The award program, which was established to encourage, support and honor outstanding doctoral theses in order to increase the qualified human resources trained in all fields, found their owners for the second time. In the field of Science and Engineering Sciences, the winners of the TÜBA TEKNOFEST Doctoral Science Award program, in the field of Social and Human Sciences. Dr. Ufuk Tuğtekin and in the field of Health and Life Sciences Dr. Deniz Lengerli was presented with her awards by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
In the award ceremony held on the last day of TEKNOFEST, in the field of Social and Human Sciences; second Dr. Tuba Bagatarhan and the third Dr. Halime Gungor; In Health and Life Sciences, the second Dr. Duygu Aydemir and the third awards were presented to Dr. Ahmet Cingöz by TEKNOFEST Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar, BAYKAR Defense General Manager Haluk Bayraktar and Deputy Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır. TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker presented their certificates to the award winners.
Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin History of Science and Technology in Islam Exhibition built a bridge from the past to the future.
TÜBA Honorary Member, Science Historian Prof. Dr. Fuat Sezgin modeled the discoveries of Islamic scholars in Islamic civilization and conveyed the scientific studies of Islamic civilization to the masses. In the exhibition organized by TÜBA and the Presidential National Library, the works that show the highest level of invention, design and scientific observation instruments of Islamic civilization talked about the period they were in, and gave information to the festival visitors by taking them centuries ago.

Gazi University Physics Education Department Lecturer Prof. Dr. Uygar Kanlı, at the TÜBA stand during the festival, every day, “How Do Air Vehicles Stay Balanced? While answering the question, he told those who were curious about challenging gravity. Prof. Kanlı's presentation of the science of physics with an entertaining and interesting presentation became the focus of attention for visitors of all ages.
Innovative products of national technology met with its enthusiasts.
In the fair area, where Turkey's leading public and private sector companies exhibited their most innovative products, demonstration flights of the domestic production National Wings were organized. Akıncı Taruzi Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (TİHA), Bayraktar TB2, Hürkuş , Atak Helicopter, Gökbey Helicopter, Aksungur and Turkish Armed Forces F-16 aircrafts and Solo Turkish and Turkish Stars aerobatic flights were organized. The "Technology Competitions" organized within the scope of the Festival were planned in 99 different categories this year in order to support the projects of thousands of young people working in these fields with the aim of increasing the interest of young people in the production and development of national technology. More than 150 thousand teams and more than 600 thousand participants from 81 provinces and 107 countries applied to the competitions.
