TEKNOFEST Azerbaijan 2022 Successfully Completed
Space and Technology Festival (TEKNOFEST), in which TÜBA is among the participants, was held in Azerbaijan between 26-29 May. The festival was programmed with the cooperation of the Turkish Technology Team (T3 Foundation), the Ministry of Digital Development and Transport of Azerbaijan and the Ministry of Industry and Technology of the Republic of Turkey. The official closing ceremony was attended by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Chairman of the Board of TEKNOFEST and Chairman of the Turkish Technology Team Foundation Board of Trustees Selçuk Bayraktar, Azerbaijani Digital Development and Transport Minister Reşad Nebiyev, Nobel Prize-winning TÜBA Member Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar, and many people attended.
TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker reminded the intense interest in the festival in 2021, in which TÜBA was among its stakeholders, and said that TEKNOFEST also caused a great interaction in Azerbaijan. Emphasizing that the first organization of TEKNOFEST in Azerbaijan is an indicator of friendship, brotherhood and strategic alliance between the two countries, Şeker said, “Azerbaijan is our sister country. Being in Azerbaijan made us very happy as two states and one nation. This time we experienced this enthusiasm together. At the stand we opened at the festival; We explained our programs and projects and introduced our publications to science enthusiasts, students, those who are interested in doing science and everyone from Azerbsaijan and the countries in the region. As the Academy, we exhibited the scientific reports that we offered solutions to the priority issues of our country and drew roadmaps, the works that were presented to the attention of the readers within the scope of the Turkish-Islamic Scientific Cultural Heritage (TİBKM) Project, most of which have never been published in Turkish, our biographical books, dictionaries, and many of our works. And we met with great interest, we took care of our visitors of all ages, this situation increased our hope for the future and the youth of our nation."
