President Şeker Visits Ambassador Erciyes in Athens
Within the scope of the opening meeting of the International Community of Academies (KOINON), TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, who was in Athens, visited the Turkish Ambassador to Athens, Çağatay Erciyes.
During the visit, the role of science diplomacy in solving global problems and opportunities for international cooperation between academies were discussed. Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker informed Ambassador Erciyes about TÜBA's scientific output and activities on international platforms.
During the visit, Prof. Dr. Şeker presented the book “Science Diplomacy for Global Challenges,” published as part of TÜBA's Science and Thought Series, which examines the contributions of science diplomacy to today's global challenges from a multidimensional perspective. TÜBA Young Academy President Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mürsel Doğrul also attended the visit. During the meeting, assessments were made on the integration of young academics into international scientific networks and their roles in the field of science diplomacy.
