Memorandum of Understanding Signed between TÜBA and Albanian Academy of Sciences
TÜBA President Prof. Muzaffer Şeker and Prof. Skënder Gjinushi, President of the Albanian Academy of Sciences (Akademinë e Shkencave të Shqipërisë) signed a memorandum of understanding for scientific cooperation between the two academies.
TÜBA and the Albanian Academy of Sciences signed the memorandum of understanding, which was organized at the 2nd Meeting of the South East Europe Regional Academies (SEERA), to promote and strengthen academic cooperation, to encourage the exchange of scientific knowledge and experience between scientists and academics to develop collaborative activities, to facilitate cooperation, and to encourage cooperation among members to transform advanced research into commercial applications that will lead to economic growth and job creation.
They agreed to promote scientific cooperation, including in science and technology, humanities, medicine and social sciences, mainly through bilateral symposia, exchange of scientists, exchange of information and publications. The bilateral cooperation agreement, first signed in 2001, will be valid for 10 years with the latest signatures.
