Applications for the 2015 TÜBA-GEBİP and TÜBA-TEÇEP Awards Have Started
The applications for the TÜBA Young Scientist Outstanding Achievement Award (GEBİP) and Science Copyright and Translation Award (TEÇEP) have started.
Since the year 2001 TÜBA has been supporting the studies of young scientists who stand out with their outstanding achievements in scientific research within the scope of GEBİP and the authors of Turkish books or translators of foreign books that are at standards to be used as textbooks in universities since 2008 within the scope of TEÇEP. 335 successful young scientists have been awarded to date through GEBİP while 161 works have received awards through TEÇEP. GEBİP aims to support successful young scientists and TEÇEP aims to support the works that are deemed suitable for gaining to the Turkish language in the form of a grant to meet their needs.
GEBİP rewards young scientists who work in all of the fields of science covered by TÜBA, who have a specialty degree in health sciences, a doctorate in other branches of science and work in Turkey or have committed to working Turkey and have not yet completed 39 years of age. TEÇEP evaluates the ‘Copyright and Translation Award’ and ‘The Remarkable Works Award’ in the fields of nature, engineering, health and social sciences upon the application of the author, editor, translator or translation editor of the work on the condition that the first publication of the work was printed in the last five years. In translated works applications for translations of the latest publication of a work are accepted.
GEBİP, which aims to support young scientists who stand out with their outstanding scientific work and to encourage young scientists to undertake outstanding research projects and TEÇEP which aims to enrich university textbooks and gain foreign works to the Turkish language, are accepting applications for 2015 until November 17, 2014.
