Turkish Young Academy Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kar Receives the TÜSEB Incentive Award
Turkish Young Academy Member Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kar was honored with the Incentive Award as part of the 2026 The Health Institutes of Türkiye (TÜSEB) Aziz Sancar Science, Service, and Incentive Awards
Held under the auspices of the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye and as part of the 12th Turkish Medical World Congress, the ceremony was honored by the presence of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, during which scientists and institutions recognized for their successful work in the fields of health sciences and technologies were awarded. TÜBA President Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Şeker, who participated in the 2026 TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Science, Service and Incentive Awards program, established by TÜSEB in the name of TÜBA Honorary Member Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar, stated, “I congratulate all the award recipients, starting with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kar, the recipient of the TÜBA-GEBİP Award, and I hope their scientific work and contributions to the field of health will continue to grow.”
In addition to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Kar, Dr. Aktan Alpsoy and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şahin Hanalioğlu were also honored with the TÜSEB Incentive Award. At the ceremony, the TÜSEB Aziz Sancar Science Award was presented to Prof. Dr. Uğur Şahin and Prof. Dr. Özlem Türeci, and the TÜSEB Service Award was presented to Prof. Dr. Enis Barış. The Health Technologies Prestige Awards were presented to Abdi İbrahim Pharmaceutical Industry and Trade Inc., Yerlika Pharmaceutical Industry and Trade Inc., and ASELSAN Electronics Industry and Trade Inc. The TÜSEB Special Service Awards were presented to Dr. Şükran Yılmaz, Dr. Ejder Sözen, Prof. Dr. Serap Aykut Aka, Prof. Dr. Sezai Yılmaz, and Prof. Dr. Utkan Demirci, while the TÜSEB Turkish World Health and Science Certificate of Honor was awarded to Damirbek Osmonov, Minister of Health of the Kyrgyz Republic, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ferit Kasımzade, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şahin Hanalioğlu.
