TÜBA-Biodiversity and Ecosystems Workshop
“Biodiversity and Ecosystems Workshop” prepared by TÜBA Environment Biodiversity and Climate Change Working Group was hosted by Ege University.
The invited speakers at the workshop were TÜBA Principal Member TÜBİTAK President Prof. Dr. Hasan Mandal's "Success Together for Common Solutions in Focus on Biodiversity and Ecosystem" and T.C. Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, General Director of Forestry Bekir Karacabey made a presentation on "Turkey's Natural Wealth: Biodiversity".
Speaking in the program, in which 6 sessions were held and 25 scientists contributed, President Şeker said that “Environmental Biodiversity and Climate Change Working Group is new, but the issues it covers are vital issues that have occupied the agenda of the world and Turkey for a long time. At the workshop, environmental pollution, changes in natural areas and the decrease in the population of living things in natural life due to the effects of climate change, a million species It is aimed to raise awareness about ecosystem problems such as the endangerment of the species, and to address issues related to the current status, importance and protection of biodiversity and ecosystems in the world and in our country.”
