Prof. Dr. H. Mehmet Doğan, was Elected as an Honorary Member of TÜBA
At the conclusion of the member elections in the TÜBA General Assembly meeting held on June 23,2014, Prof. Dr. H. Mehmet Doğan, was elected as a TÜBA Honorary Member.
Prof. Dr. Doğan, who has researched the operability in emission spectroscopy of GDL (Glow Discharge Lamp), which has been recommended as a distinct and innovative source of light compared to the old classical lights used in emission spectroscopy, has provided guidance to many researchers and contributed to the discovery of a number of innovative scientific inventions. Also by showing the suitability of GDL-source form an analytical chemical aspect for many important and problematic examples, other important contributions made by Prof. Dr. Mehmet Doğan to analytical chemistry are the innovations made in our country and the world towards the preconcentration of liquid solutions belonging to trace elements with very important applications before the flame atomic absorption spectronometric designation. These pioneering contributions of Prof. Dr. Doğan are based on trace element ions being separated by absorption on solid surfaces such as active carbon or resin, after being formed into complexes with chelate producing reagents in suitable conditions, and being scraped off with a suitable solvent to be collected in a mass.
