G20 National Academy of Sciences (S20) 2017 "Statement Preparation Meeting" was held in Germany
The statement preparation meeting of G20 countries’ national academies of sciences called as “S20 initiative” within the within the framework of the G-20 2017 Summit to be held in Germany in 2017 was held on January 24-26, 2017 hosted by the German National Academy of Sciences - Leopoldina in Halle, Germany. TÜBA Council Members Prof. Fahrettin Keleştemur and Prof. Muzaffer Şeker attended the 2017 Statement Preparation Meeting on Improving Global Health: Strategies and Tools to Combat Communicable and Non-Communicable Diseases representing TÜBA and Turkey.
The statement to be jointly prepared by the G20 countries’ national academies of sciences and signed by the presidents of academies will be presented to the state and government authorities before the 2017 summit and be shared with the public. TÜBA was included in the S20 initiative hosted by Science Council of Japan last year.
