Clean Production Application Examples In The Textile Industry

Two of the most important events in human history are undoubtedly the invention of machines and the industrial revolution. Since these events, production has accelerated in the history of humanity and it may even be that the progression that will take place over the centuries has been realized in a short period of time. Meanwhile, breakthroughs in healthcare have led to the prolongation of human life and increased world population, as a result the demand for commodities has increased, and the production capacity has continued to increase exponentially over the years. Undoubtedly, “textile” is one of the most important sectors in our daily life. In addition to its daily benefits, textile also has great economic advantages. Türkiye has survived many economic crises through the help of the textile sector.  Although textile is one of the most important sectors, the environmental damage of uncontrolled and illegal textile production is enormous.In this article, the examples of the practices I have made on behalf of the company and myself regarding the prevention of Environmental Pollution which is one of the most important issues in my industrial life, which started in the 1990s with the company I co-founded “Emre Tekstil Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Şti”, have been reviewed.
