İskendernâme
Ahmedî’s two-volume İskendernâme, edited by Prof. Dr. Robert Dankoff, is a key work not only for research in the Turkish language and literature but also for the history of science and Turkish cultural history. Serving as both the narrative of a world conqueror, a portrait of an ideal ruler, a brief moral treatise, and an encyclopedia of the sciences, this is a comparative study centered on the “eight significant manuscripts” of the İskendernâme. In this regard, the work can be considered the first critical edition of the İskendernâme.
