5. International Awareness Summit

The summit where the Turkish scientists who were awarded the works they performed in the best universities of the world took place, was held with the attendance of TÜBA President Prof. Ahmet Cevat Acar.

5. International Awareness Summit that started on May 6, 2017, with the speeches of Deputy Prime Minister Mehmet Şimsek, Chief Advisor to the President Dr. Davut Kavranoğlu, TÜBA President Prof. Ahmet Cevat Acar and many other scientists, ended on the 7th of May after the workshops where participants shared their experience of education abroad with students.

The theme of this year's summit organized by TAF-Network was shaped as "Achievements Without Borders.” The studies of international scholars, academic life and education systems of universities in different countries also took place in the summit.

In this context, many scientists from America, Canada, France, Sweden, Switzerland, Japan, Norway, and Turkey met with young people, academicians and business people who are going on a career path abroad. The academics told young people about the inspirational stories of their success.

Northwestern University Faculty Member Sinan Keten winner of “Young Scientists and Engineers Presidential Career Award” by USA Former President Obama, Cambridge University Faculty Member Mete Atatüre, who measured the voice of light called immeasurable, Founding Dean of Drexel University Biomedical Engineering and Health Systems Banu Onaral, Stanford University Faculty Member Utkan Demirci shown among 35 scientists who will change the world in the US with his studies on device for the early detection of cancer and finding solution with microchip to male infertility, Stanford University Faculty Member Naşide Gözde Durmuş who selected to “List of Innovators Under 35” as one of the breakthrough leaders in medicine and biology by MIT Technology Review Journal that is one of the world's most respected scientific journals with her study on cheap, fast and mobile-compatible test for early detection of cancer.
