2017 “TÜBİTAK Science and Incentive Awards” to TÜBA Members
2017 TÜBİTAK Science and Service Award winners are announced. This year, 10 TÜBA members took 10 awards of a total of 15, including 4 Science Awards and 11 Incentive Awards.
TÜBA Principal Member and Academy Council Member Prof. Reşat Apak in the chemistry, 2016 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Assoc. Prof. Fatih Ömer İlday in the physics, Prof. Ömer Civalek in the engineering, Prof. Sumru Altuğ in the social sciences won the 2017 TÜBİTAK Science Awards.
2013 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Prof. Şule Erten Ela, 2014 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Önder Metin, TÜBA Associate Member and 2015 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Assoc. Prof. Filiz Kuralay in the basic sciences, Prof. Serkan Eryılmaz, 2013 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Assoc.Prof. V. Çağrı Güngör, Assoc. Prof. Tuba Ölmez Hancı, 2014 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Assoc. Prof. Cem Sevik, 2015 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Prof. Ali Rıza Yıldız in the engineering, 2012 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Assoc. Prof. Reşat Bayer, 2012 TÜBA-GEBİP Member Seda Ertaç Güler and Assoc. Prof. Ebru Kaya in the social sciences won the 2017 TÜBİTAK Incentive Awards.
The prizes will then be given to the owners with a ceremony to be held on the date to be announced.
