TÜBA Principal Member Prof. Dr. Özcan Erel, TÜBA-GEBİP Members Assoc. Prof. Nurcan Tunçbağ and Assoc. Prof. Engin Özçivici were awarded with 2019 Aziz Sancar Science, Service and Incentive Awards given on behalf of Nobel Lautrate and TÜBA Honorary Member Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar.
Patent given by Turkish Patent and Trademark Agency for “Antimicrobial and Antiviral Hygienic Products” works of TÜBA Council Member and Yeditepe University Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Fikrettin Şahin and his team was awarded the Bronze Medal in the 4th Istanbul International Invention Fair (ISIF'19).
TÜBA Principal Member Prof. Dr. Mustafa Verşan Kök, was awarded with the honorary doctorate from Kazan State University. “Honorary Doctorate” was awarded to him at the ceremony held on August 20, 2019 at METU Culture and Congress Center.
2019 TÜBİTAK Science, Special, Service and Incentive Awards were announced. 8 of the total 15 awards, which are as 4 Science Awards and 11 Incentive Awards in this year, were given to TÜBA members.
TÜBA Associate Member, Gebze Technical University Engineering Faculty Dean and Geographical Engineering Faculty Member Prof. Taşkın Kavzoğlu has received “Special Achievement Award” from ABD in GIS field with the project titled as “Establishment of a Sustainable and Intelligent Waste Management System for Improving the Quality of Life in Beykoz District”.
