TÜBA Member Prof. Dr. Ilkay Erdogan Orhan wins TWAS Chemistry Science Award
TÜBA Principal Member and Gazi University Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Dr. Ilkay Erdogan Orhan was awarded The World Academy of Sciences (TWAS) Chemistry Science Award.
Dr. Orhan; Regarding the award he won, “TWAS has given awards in fields such as physics, chemistry, medicine, social sciences and agricultural sciences since 1985. At the beginning of this year, the President of the Asian Region, of which I am a member, Prof. Krishnan said they wanted to nominate me, I happily accepted. As a result of a cumulative evaluation, our scientific publications, including academic and administrative CVs, are given with an evaluation made on the quality of these publications, their impact value, the number of citations, our books, projects and patents. Finally, I received a letter that I won the 2024 Science Award in Chemistry. The moment I found out I was a TWAS Award winner was one of the happiest moments of my life.” said.
